		<description>Wasn&#039;t it exactly the same with XP? a prettier, more functional version of Win2k.  Most people now use it.

I think a completely re-engineered version of Windows would be a bad thing.  Think of the insane amount of man hours involved in building a complete OS like Windows, and all of the new bugs.  You can&#039;t expect MS to drop what they have been working on for almost their entire life and start again.  Sure they have the money, but to be honest I don&#039;t want to be waiting for 20 years while they get it ironed out.  20 years of catch-up time for Linux.

A basic version of User Account Control has been in Linux for some time now.  MS does it and its the end of the world.  You could argue that needing this feature in the first place demonstrates an intrinsic lack of security.  I&#039;m sure that if the malware manufacturers actually targeted other OSs you would see a similar trend, but why bother, seriously.
